How do you lead the logistics industry in safety and innovation?

At Oxalis Logistics DE, safety is our top priority and we are proud to be recognised as industry leaders in this area. Our commitment to safety is demonstrated through our advanced in-house driver training programmes, which are developed in strict compliance with regulations. One of the key components of this is our Defensive Driving course, “Go Defensive”, a bespoke programme designed to ensure that our drivers are equipped with the skills they need to navigate complex road situations. This commitment to safety has led to a significant reduction in incidents, as well as improved fuel economy, contributing to lower CO₂ emissions and supporting our environmental goals.

Additionally, we operate some of the most advanced trucks and trailers on the roads, continually upgrading our fleet to enhance both safety and efficiency. However, we also recognise that safety extends beyond our own fleet, and it is equally important that all road users get home safely.

Innovative safety technologies to protect all road users

At Oxalis Logistics DE, we have intentionally sought out technologies that not only improve the safety of our own transport, but also provide added value for other road users. We are committed to making the roads safer for everyone, which is why we have worked in close collaboration with commercial vehicle manufacturers, safety authorities and the German TÜV to develop our reflective rear-end dish. This innovative safety feature, which shines in our company colours, is especially visible at dusk and at night, offering the maximum permissible level of reflection to reduce the risk of rear-end collisions — a common and often dangerous accident in low visibility or heavy traffic.

We’ve also equipped our trailers with a flashlight at the rear, mounted at eye level with vehicles following behind. This flashlight can be manually activated by our drivers, in addition to the standard hazard lights and reflective rear-end dish, to provide an extra layer of visibility. The high-frequency flashing of the light increases the visibility of our vehicles in traffic jams or other situations where rear-end collisions are a risk, further enhancing the safety of everyone on the road.
