As Operations Director, Dominic O’Flynn, has both commercial and operational responsibility and has secured long-term client partnerships with some of the UKʼs biggest retailers. Having started his career as a mechanical engineer apprentice, Dominic quickly moved into the oil, gas and logistics sectors where he has been part of senior leadership teams for more than 30 years.

Ernesta Bliudziute brings over 11 years of experience in financial management within the fuels industry to her role as Finance Manager for the FTL Asda contract. Playing a key role in ensuring seamless financial period reconciliations and developing budgets that align with business objectives and optimise resources. Ernesta’s work is crucial to maximising EBIT performance and supporting the financial stability of the Asda contract, contributing to the broader success of the business.

Garry Brennan joined our business in 2000 as a Driver and Driver Trainer, after working as a professional driver since 1986. Over time, he progressed into a full-time trainer role before taking on the position of Location Transport Manager for the Tate and Lyle contract in 2006. Since then, Garry has held several operational roles and, in 2023, was appointed to the newly created role of Head of SHEQ, where he is now responsible for developing the strategy and structure to enhance SHEQ performance and culture across the business.

Steve Currie has operational responsibility for ensuring the surety of fuel supply, to two of the UK’s biggest retailers for Fuel Transport & Logistics. Steve has been with the business for over 25 years, having joined directly after finishing his degree. During this time, he has had many roles within FTL gaining him broad logistics experience and for the past 15 years has held several roles in the Senior Leadership team.

Neil Coughlin has been with our business since 1991 and now plays a crucial role in overseeing the driver training agenda. Responsible for the day-to-day management of Driver Instructors, Neil coordinates the annual training of over 430 drivers, ensuring our workforce adheres to the highest safety standards. Alongside implementing and monitoring environmental systems, Neil maintains the company’s procedures, ensuring they meet current legislation. Registered with SQA, he is able to deliver in-house ADR training across all classes and writes all DCPC training for the fuels transport operations. Neil also represents FTL at various government forums, contributing to the continuous improvement of the company’s compliance standards.

David Newhouse brings over 30 years of logistics experience, including two decades in the petroleum sector. With extensive expertise in petroleum retail, vehicle engineering and regulatory compliance, David is also a City and Guilds qualified mechanical technician. Beginning his career as a driver, David progressed to become a driver trainer and held various supervisory roles across the edibles, chemicals and petroleum industries. Today, he manages FTL operations in the North of England, overseeing eight locations and approximately 150 drivers.

Andy Price has served as Finance Manager for the FTL Morrisons Fuels for seven years, building and maintaining a strong partnership with our esteemed customer. Prior to this, he was part of the Fuels Operations Team in the Southwest, managing five locations and overseeing the TOTAL Fuels contract. With 17 years of operational experience in the chemicals sector across the UK and Ireland, Andy brings a wealth of knowledge to his role in driving financial performance.

As Regional Transport Manager at FTL, Kim Queen brings with him over 15 years of experience in fuels distribution. Throughout his career with FTL, Kim has overseen operations for Asda and Morrisons Fuels across key depots in Aberdeen, Belfast, Clydebank, Dalston and Grangemouth. His extensive experience ensures the efficient and reliable delivery of fuels across these regions.

Sarah has been working in the Transport and Logistics industry for nearly 30 years in a variety of roles across a number of different sectors. She began her transport and logistics career working in fuels, where she worked as a Commercial Fuels Planner and went on to obtain HGV and ADR qualifications. Then, after 25 years broadening her knowledge of Supply Chain and HR functions, she returned to a focus on fuels at FTL – as Regional General Manager for the South and Midlands areas.

Mark Wilson has commercial responsibility for the FTL Asda contract. With over 30 years of experience in logistics, Mark has played a key role in delivering outsourced distribution solutions across sectors including petrochemical, FMCG and construction. His work at FTL focuses on implementing continuous improvement strategies, reducing waste and optimising costs, all while ensuring strong operational performance and maintaining effective customer relationships.
